The 9K317M Buk-M3 is a family of self-propelled, medium-range surface-to-air missile systems developed by the Soviet Union and its successor, the Russian Federation. Designed to counter cruise missiles, smart bombs, rotary-wing aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles, it plays a vital role in modern air defense networks. Positioned within the tactical anti-access/area-denial (A2/AD) framework, the Buk system operates effectively beneath long-range strategic systems like the S-300 and S-400, while providing an additional layer of defense above short-range point systems such as the Tor and Pantsir. The system features fully functional animations integrated into the model tracking system. It is equipped with an updated, high-visibility lighting configuration and includes multiple system improvements and overall performance optimizations.
