Description:
Sun Presets – lighting presets for FS25! What is this?
The mod adds 40 carefully selected lighting presets to the game:
The brightness and size of the sun, sunlight shade, bloom, tone mapping, and soft color grading can be adjusted. Quickly change the atmosphere of your map—from “Golden Hour” and “Blue Season” to “Neon Night,” “Alpine Freshness,” and “Desert Afternoon.”
How does this work?
Inside the mod, there is a table of 40 presets.
Each preset includes:
Sun brightness and size multipliers;
Sun color (R/G/B);
Bloom post-effect parameters (magnitude/threshold);
Tone mapping parameters (slope/toe);
Soft color grading adjustments (global/shadows/midtones/highlights + thresholds).
The mod does not alter map files; it dynamically multiplies and complements the base map lighting curves, making it compatible with most maps and their environment.xml / colorGrading*.xml files.
Controls (in game):
Right Ctrl + ? / ? – switch presets without opening the menu.
When switching, a toast message appears with the name of the selected preset (2.5 seconds).
Menu settings:
In “Settings/General,” the Lighting Presets section appears with a “Preset” slider.
Navigating through the menu is equivalent to hotkeys – always one current state. Save your preferences!
The selected preset is saved to the profile file:
modSettings/SunPresets.xml

I used this summer while repairing buildings and enjoyed those presets. Adjusting the light out creates a great atmosphere for showcasing farmland.

Once, I tried the “Golden Hour” preset while harvesting - totally transformed the map's vibe! D reminded me of evenings on the farm. Great job on enhancing the visuals, adding diverse atmospheres is much appreciated!
