Description:

This mod enhances the animal system with new features: animals now have both male and female offspring (previously only chickens), with offspring numbers varying by breed. Reproduction is independent of health and can be initiated manually or automatically, with male animals capable of starting reproduction automatically. Non-triggered reproduction incurs a fee per animal, depending on the breed. Reproduction may fail based on the time since the last birth and the animal's age. Cow milk production and feed consumption follow a lactation curve: after giving birth, cows consume more feed and produce more milk, both gradually decreasing over time; if a cow hasn't had offspring for a long period, milk production stops. Cows are dry for two months before calving, during which they do not produce milk. Animals can live beyond 60 months, but their health declines when they are in poor health or reach maximum age. Overcrowded stables reduce animal health. The lactation curve details monthly feed and milk factors, and offspring probabilities vary by species, with specific success probabilities for starting reproduction depending on months since last birth and age. Maximum ages are set for each species, with a small chance of animals disappearing upon reaching max age or if their health drops to zero. Version 1.1.0.0 adds support for Highland cattle, allows disabling animal disappearance due to age or health, introduces a lactation curve for goats, and permits overwriting animal characteristics via animal.xml.

This mod truly fits well with my farming setup, providing a much more realistic breeding experience. Medium livestock management has definitely improved my gameplay, especially with the added offspring detail. It's a great touch!
