A work in progress. We hope to complete it soon. Basic functions are operational, including the trailer hitch. The three-point hitch is not functional at the moment. The steering wheel is still under development, so a placeholder is used for now. The front wheels turn, but the front axle is still being worked on, so they turn but not perfectly aligned as they should be. The 1964 Allis-Chalmers D19 was a 70 hp, five-plow tractor, notable for being the first in the industry to offer a turbocharged diesel engine option. It features a 262 cubic inch, six-cylinder engine available in gasoline, LPG, or diesel. Key specs include an 8-speed transmission (with a 4-speed option and Power Director), an 102.3-inch wheelbase, and a standard operating weight around 6,700 lbs. Engine & Power: Engine: Allis-Chalmers Buda D262, 262 cubic inches (4.3 L). Transmission & Performance: 8-speed standard, with a 4-speed option with Power Director. Tires: Front 7.50-16, rear 18.4-34. Top Speed: 13.9 mph (diesel, Nebraska Tractor Test #811). Drawbar Pull: 8,459 lbs unballasted, 11,210 lbs ballasted. Dimensions & Weight: Length: 12 ft 10 in. Width: 7 ft 0 in. Height: 7 ft 5 in. Wheelbase: 102.3 inches. Weight: between 6,480 lbs and 6,840 lbs depending on configuration. Other Features: Hitch: Snap-Coupler. PTO: Live, 540 rpm rear PTO. Hydraulics: Split pump traction booster hydraulic system. Brakes: Differential mechanical band and dry disc. Air Cleaner: Dry with precleaner. Horsepower: approximately 71.54 hp (gas), 66.19 hp (propane), 66.92 hp (diesel) at PTO. Engine Options: Gasoline, LPG, and turbocharged diesel (industry first). Compression Ratio: 14:1, later 15:1. Rated PTO Power: 66.92 hp @ 2,000 rpm (diesel, Nebraska Tractor Test #811). Rated Drawbar Power: 61.27 hp @ 2,001 rpm (diesel, Nebraska Tractor Test #811).
