Description:
You were driving around and saw this fine piece of offroading utility rotting behind some bushes. The cab is from an early 1940s Chevy truck, with a welding bed on it, though its functionality is uncertain. The 4x4 frame clearly wasn't original, and it has a 12V Cummins engine swapped in, emitting more unburned fuel from the exhaust than it should, casting doubt on the owner's claim of 450hp. None of the gauges work, but it drives, and the lighting has been upgraded—so who cares! On a more serious note, it's a simple truck I assembled to take a break from rebuilding my 2655. It took much longer than expected, as I had to fix several parts on the cab. While it's far from perfect and doesn't have many options, it still looks great. It features color options for the cab (2), bumper, exhaust, bed, seat, and interior upholstery. There's an option to cover the bench seat with a blanket in three different textures to keep it clean. Using the Deus_Volteus custom shader, I created wear and dirt textures that develop rust over time (I used console commands to make it rusty). I also made a variant of the shader for the tires, turning them grey instead of black like real old tires. With some animation, I made the exhaust smoke more heavily under load, not just based on RPM as in the base game. The front winch works, and you can strap small loads in the bed, though it's not very wide. It has one passenger seat, an adjustable trailer hitch, and a fifth-wheel/gooseneck cover that turns invisible when a trailer is attached. That's about it—have fun!

The mod adds a unique touch to gameplay, enhancing realism. However, it would be even better if gauge functionality and engine performance could be more closely tied to real driving experience to meet expectations. Keep iterating!
