Description:
The John Deere 1770NT CCS is a newer, more advanced version of the renowned 1770 front-fold planter produced by John Deere in the late 1990s and early 2000s. This planter includes several upgrades over the original 1770 model, such as a "Central Commodity System" (bulk seed tanks instead of individual on-row hoppers) and no-till row-cleaners, allowing it to plant through thicker crop residue with less ground preparation. While these features are standard today, they were innovative in the mid-2000s, and retrofitted 1770NT CCS planters equipped with modern technology and hardware remain common on farms across the US. Why did the planter break up with the old cultivator? Lack of space! Good blend of features in this update, liking the no-till capabilities.
