V1.4.0.5 Rut Spacing Standard spacing reduced from **0.75 m to 0.45 m**. Also considers terrain/heightmap resolution for more uniform and continuous ruts. Ruts Between Wheel Positions Up to 12 intermediate points instead of 3, reducing gaps and isolated raised points within the wheel track. Teleport Protection Large vehicle displacements no longer create artificial ruts between old and new positions. Ruts During Rain Existing ruts are protected against unintended lifting caused by weather or terrain updates. Only areas near the player are checked. VMT is permitted only to lower ruts; it must never artificially raise the terrain. Ruts During Moisture Changes RWSM can report affected areas to VMT, monitoring only these zones to avoid unnecessary full-map scans. Soil Cultivation Ruts beneath loaded wheels are no longer lost during cultivation. Restoration is retried after delays if needed. Only genuine GIANTS cultivation operations can reset ruts. Restore Queue Limited processing with a maximum of 8 cells per pass. Irrelevant tasks are automatically removed. Savegame Ruts Fixed errors when merging multiple ruts in the same cell. Original heights are now correctly interpreted. Multiplayer Chunk Sync Stationary players no longer trigger full area rebuilds, reducing memory use and load spikes. DensitySyncBroker API updated from **5 to 7**; version from **B5 to B7**. Optional GIANTS sync APIs are only searched during limited timeframes, not continuously. Position checks occur after significant player movement. RWSM Integration When active, VMT no longer performs parallel ground regeneration; RWSM manages ground biology exclusively. Standalone Regeneration VMT regeneration remains active without RWSM, distributing calculations across multiple frames to reduce FPS drops and garbage collection spikes. Traffic Data Uses reusable data structures instead of new Lua tables for each wheel contact, with stable contact identifiers to reduce garbage collection. Rut Calculation Sample and offset tables are reused; diagnostics are only active when explicitly enabled. Sherman Runtime Core API updated from **2 to 5**; version from **1.0.3 to 1.0.6**. More robust validation of vehicles and WheelPhysics. Shop/Preview Vehicles Temporary shop vehicles are no longer treated as mission vehicles, preventing access to invalid WheelShapes. WheelShape Safety Checks for valid mission vehicle, physics, RootNode, existing WheelShape, and WheelShape ID. GIANTS Wheel Update Native GIANTS wheel updates run first; VMT/RWSM hooks follow. Errors in VMT no longer block native wheel physics. Contact Force Unsafe direct WheelShape calls are removed; contact force is derived more safely from tire load. Vehicle Registry Safety checks now run approximately every 120 seconds instead of every 30, only when vehicle count changes. Optima Support Irrifrance Optima 1036 is recognized as an irrigation machine by RuntimeCore. Shaders During Loading Shaders are disabled during map or vehicle loading, activating only after `onLoadMapFinished` plus a delay to reduce hangs during shader compilation. Wheel Shader Hooks No longer uses a permanent global `wheel:update` shader hook; tire materials update only when necessary. Tire Count Only visible, relevant tires are managed for shaders; auxiliary, baler, and support wheels do not trigger unnecessary shader updates. Hay / Straw / Windrow Improved detection of hay, straw, windrows, and dry grass, no longer misclassified as water sources. Shader Flickering Transitions between ground and `GROUND_HEIGHT` stabilized; windrow contact includes a brief hold to reduce tire flickering on hay and straw. Wetness on Windrows Filters out incorrect native wetness values; actual rain and mud remain visible. Tire Soiling Mud accumulation starts earlier on damp ground; wheel slip and sinking increase soiling; wet ground causes tires to get dirty faster. Multiplayer Tire Status Synchronization now includes VMT mud overlay status, preventing shader discrepancies between server and client. Visual Mud Tracks Enhances Farming Simulator 25 with realistic lane, soil moisture, tire behavior, compaction, fruit destruction, root damage, and bogging simulations. Vehicles respond more realistically to soil conditions, affecting driving resistance, sinking, slipping, and plant health. Required mods: Realistic Water & Soil Management (RWSM)
