Description:
Welcome to Owendale, Michigan. In 1882, as three new rail lines began to lay track in Huron County, two cousins from Saginaw, Michigan—John G. and John S. Owen—purchased land in the Columbia Swamp. The following year, they opened a sawmill to harvest the native oak. John G. Owen hired civil engineer Quincy Thomas to survey a town site in 1887. The streets, alleys, and parks were dedicated to the public for their perpetual use, and the village was named Owendale. The sawmill burned down in 1896, and the Owendale area shifted from lumbering to agriculture. Alfalfa crops were added and integrated with livestock. There are 32 fields of various sizes—small, medium, and large—and limited forestry, but a sawmill is available if you wish to create a forest. The town features 7 production buildings, and there's a grain dryer on the main farm. You can purchase seeds, lime, and fertilizer at the Pioneer dealer. During rain, drain ditches fill with water. Precision Farming is included by default on the map. The area is based on Saginaw, Michigan, so farming is more prominent than logging. Wildlife includes white-tailed deer in the fall and wild turkeys.

I really enjoy the Owendale layout, but I look forward to future updates to enhance fields biome and integrate additional buildings for even more variety in our farming adventures. Keep up the great work!
