The Volvo BM T 500 was a collaboration between Volvo BM and IH introduced in 1974. Later, the T 500 was replaced by the updated 2200-series models at the end of 1978. Two power options were available: 56 and 68 hp. A new four-wheel-drive version was also introduced, featuring a Japanese Kimco front axle.
