Description:

Realistic Soil & Fertilizer Mod for Farming Simulator 25 V2.4.2.8 – Spreading lime or granular fertilizer now accurately tracks coverage regardless of field orientation, fixing previous issues where counters stayed at zero while liquid sprayers worked. – Fields previously fertilized before saving are now marked as fully covered, preventing unnecessary application until a harvest, plow, or new day resets the status. Reloading starts a fresh spraying session. – Applying slurry, manure, or digestate on freshly cut grass no longer incorrectly counts as tall grass, removing the organic-matter penalty. Only tall, harvest-ready forage is penalized. – Liming short or freshly cut swards to correct pH no longer causes the amendment burn, though tall forage and annual crops still do. – Overlapping boom applications now scale the pH and nitrogen burn penalty based on the duration of over-application, reducing penalties for short overlaps and preventing multiple multipliers. – French translation has been updated (thanks to @squall39). Note: NOT COMPATIBLE WITH PRECISION FARMING. Adds meaningful depth to farming simulation by tracking soil health parameters—nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, organic matter, and pH—that change based on crops, applications, and weather. Managing soil health improves yields and farm efficiency. SOIL NUTRIENTS Each field independently monitors five key values: – Nitrogen (N): depletes heavily, especially in corn and canola. – Phosphorus (P): depletes more slowly, critical for root crops. – Potassium (K): lost in large amounts during high-yield harvests, especially potatoes and sugarbeets. – Organic Matter (OM): enhances long-term fertility; manure, compost, and chopped straw increase it. – pH: influences nutrient absorption; lime and gypsum adjust pH. Different crops extract varying amounts of nutrients. Fallow fields recover gradually. Legumes (soybeans, peas, beans) provide a nitrogen boost in spring. Growing the same crop consecutively increases nutrient extraction. FERTILIZER TYPES Supports all major fertilizer types from the base game and popular mods: – Synthetic: • Liquid Fertilizer: balanced N/P/K, quick absorption. • Solid Fertilizer: higher phosphorus content. • Digestate: biogas byproduct rich in nitrogen and potassium. • UAN28 / UAN32: liquid nitrogen solutions. • Anhydrous Ammonia: concentrated nitrogen source. • AMS / Urea: dry and liquid nitrogen options. • Starter Fertilizer: high-phosphorus pop-up. • MAP / DAP: phosphorus-heavy dry and liquid. • Potash: pure potassium source. – Organic: • Manure: slow-release, boosts organic matter. • Slurry: liquid organic rich in potassium. • Compost: excellent organic matter enhancer. • Biosolids: versatile organic option. • Chicken Manure: concentrated nutrients, organic matter builder. • Pelletized Manure: easier application. pH Management: – Lime: significantly raises pH. – Liquid Lime: gentler than dry lime. – Gypsum: slightly lowers pH and improves organic matter. Crop Protection: – Insecticide: reduces pest pressure. – Fungicide: reduces disease pressure. All nutrients have realistic profiles and application rates in metric or imperial units. SPRAYER RATE CONTROL Precisely control fertilizer application per pass: – Rate Up / Rate Down keys allow on-the-fly adjustments. – 20 rate multipliers from 0.10x to 2.00x in 0.10 increments. – Over-application risks: exceeding 1.25x risks pH and nitrogen burn; at 1.50x burn is guaranteed. – Auto-Rate mode adjusts application based on soil depletion levels. – Rate settings are vehicle-specific. YIELD PENALTY Low nutrient levels decrease yields. Fields must meet or exceed optimal N, P, and K thresholds for maximum output. Falling below increases penalties, capped depending on crop demands. PEST, WEED & DISEASE PRESSURE Tracks weed, pest, and disease pressure separately. Cultivation reduces weed and pest pressure; plowing more effectively reduces pest and disease issues. Insecticide and fungicide applications directly lower respective pressures. HUD A real-time soil panel displays current nutrient levels: – Six preset positions (top right, top left, bottom right, bottom left, center right, custom). – Custom position is draggable. – Four color themes: Green, Blue, Amber, Mono. – Three font sizes. – Five transparency levels. – Compact mode for smaller screens. – Toggle HUD with a keybinding. – Settings are per-player in multiplayer. A detailed Soil Report can be accessed via keybinding, providing comprehensive data for the current field. SOIL MAP OVERLAY While the map is open, view a color-coded overlay with nine data layers: Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, pH, Organic Matter, Urgency Score, Weed, Pest, and Disease Pressure. Each cell is colored based on its status. PDA SCREEN In-game PDA features two tabs: – Farm Overview: lists all fields with N/P/K/pH/OM and status, plus farm-wide averages. – Treatment Plan: highlights fields needing attention with detailed requirements. SETTINGS Access via Shift+O. In multiplayer, gameplay settings are admin-controlled; HUD settings are per-player. Toggle systems include: – Fertility system (enable/disable) – Nutrient cycles – Fertilizer costs – Seasonal effects – Rain effects – Plowing bonus – Auto-Rate Control – Notifications for low nutrients DIFFICULTY LEVELS – Simple: less depletion, lower costs, more forgiving. – Realistic: standard rates (default). – Hardcore: rapid depletion, higher costs, no neglect tolerance. UNITS Switch between metric (kg/ha) and imperial (lb/ac) units per player. PRECISION FARMING COMPATIBILITY If the official DLC is active, this mod switches to read-only mode, observing soil data without conflicts. MULTIPLAYER Fully supported: server manages gameplay settings, each player controls HUD preferences, and soil data syncs across clients. New players joining mid-session receive full data sync. CONSOLE COMMANDS Type 'soilfertility' in the developer console (~) for commands: – soilfertility: list all commands – SoilEnable / SoilDisable: toggle mod – SoilSetDifficulty 1/2/3: set difficulty – SoilFieldInfo : show soil data for a specific field – SoilShowSettings: display current settings – SoilResetSettings: reset to defaults – SoilSaveData: save soil data – SoilDebug: toggle debug logging COMPATIBILITY – Compatible with all maps and vehicles. – Works with crop rotation mods. – No known conflicts. – Save game compatible. INSTALLATION Extract the ZIP into your mods folder. Use Shift+O to configure. No additional steps required.
