Thanks to this modification, the vehicle's components will experience failures. The parts are set to operate for a specific number of hours; for example, the thermostat will break down after 150 hours. The system monitors the vehicle's operating temperature, and if the engine remains too cold, it may cause damage. After starting the vehicle, if the engine's operating temperature does not exceed 30 °C, damage will occur, which can be tracked on the damage info bar. It is currently unspecified whether only the engine or its associated parts will be affected in such cases.
The mod is currently in Beta.
To calculate service and repair costs, the vehicle's purchase price and age are considered. I need to test it to make any necessary adjustments.
Open Real Vehicle Breakdowns (RVB) using the key combination 'left Alt + w' (default).
List of failures: 1. Thermostat error, which can be of two types: a) Overheating, where the operating temperature is too high, causing vehicle damage and increased fuel consumption. b) Overcooling, where the operating temperature fluctuates, leading to increased fuel consumption. 2. All front and rear lights malfunctioning, although turn signals and hazard lights remain functional. 3. Glow plug issues, resulting in increased fuel consumption and difficulty starting the engine. 4. Windscreen wiper motor failure, causing the wiper blades to remain stationary, potentially leading to other errors in the future. 5. Generator failure, which prevents the vehicle's battery from charging, risking discharge and preventing engine start. 6. Engine error, allowing the engine to start but limiting maximum speed to 7 km/h. 7. Self-starter issues, making it difficult or impossible to start the engine. 8. Battery problems, also leading to difficulty or inability to start the engine. 9. Service interval issues, where exceeding the set service interval will cause vehicle damage.
Causes of battery discharge: a) The vehicle's engine is off, but the lights remain on; the more lights are on, the faster the battery drains. b) Generator failure prevents battery charging.
The battery can be charged in the workshop. When the engine is running and the generator is operational, the battery charges gradually.
In the RVB menu, you can select how often vehicles need servicing. Repair costs are calculated based on the vehicle's purchase value, and this may later change to establish a minimum repair cost, as some vehicles are priced very cheaply by developers. The system currently does not include hourly repair rates.
