This mod displays helpful information for logs and assists with cutting to desired lengths or weights. V1.0.0.2 Improved detection on very large logs V1.0.0.1 – Fixed a client freeze that could occur in multiplayer if the client still referenced a tree that no longer exists. You can use the hotkeys shown in the F1 menu to switch between length and weight modes, and to select the target length or weight. Note that while the length mode is precise, the weight mode is only an approximation. The weight mode is not available in multiplayer. The chainsaw will snap to the indicated location once within 20cm. The angle still needs to be adjusted manually. The help window provides information to help decide whether felling a tree or cutting it further is worthwhile. To achieve maximum quality in the base game (which is 120%), a piece of wood must be a near-perfect frustum of a cone, between 6-11m in length (about 20-36 feet), and free of branches. Maximum quality isn’t always achievable. Realism players can add an absolute or relative additional length buffer to the cut indication length in the general settings. This mod is compatible with the lumberjack mod. Hotkeys: [ C ] Switches between length and weight modes or disables this feature. [ Z ] Cycles through the available target lengths and weights.

The info and cutting adjustments are solid and work great! Would be helpful if the body could offer liable volume estimations too, bumping freight planning further along.

Overall, this mod does offer some valuable features, especially for improving manual cutting precision. It’d be great if the weight approximation was slightly more accurate since varying wood densities can impact what you get from processing. Streamlining chains rap length adjustment with screen adjustments could enhance the user experience, too. My big request would probably be improving the handling and guiding softer logging transports; better tension in controlled pulling to match endured network lag may also help privacy partitions prioritizing minimiz laten relations(operation delay).
