Diesel Fuel System: Diesel Is No Longer Just a Number in Your Tank Does your machine run forever on any diesel, even fuel stored for months with water at the bottom and a filter never changed? No real diesel engine works that way. This mod introduces authentic diesel management: fuel degrades over time, water contaminates, filters clog, and the engine alerts you to issues. How to get it - 10,000 L farm tank ($13,900): order regular (Grade 2) or premium (Grade 3) diesel, delivered with freight. Prices vary daily. - 32,000 L diesel tanker ($90,000): the MKS 32 with pump, hose, 3-inch Camlock coupling, earth lug, valve, litre meter, and ADR plates. - Fuel terminal ($5,000): a loading island to fill the tanker like at a real depot. - Tool shop: band filter wrench, water-finding paste dipstick, OEM or aftermarket filters. What it does Each litre of diesel has its own condition: quality, age, water content, sediment, and microbes. Machines refueled from your tank inherit this condition; stations in the base game still provide fresh diesel. Refuel manually with the nozzle: 8.5 m hose, 2 L/s flow rate. Hold the trigger at the filler or latch it for automatic shut-off when full. Use K to pick up the nozzle. Premium diesel offers no power boost but contains higher cetane, detergents, demulsifiers, and stabilizers, resulting in better cold starts, cleaner injectors, and longer storage life. Regular diesel is sufficient for old mechanical engines but can foul injectors in common rail systems. Stored diesel ages and can absorb water; test with the dipstick, drain the bottom, treat with stabilizer and biocide, or order fuel polishing. A clogged filter restricts flow: it’s fine under no load or on gentle slopes but causes surges and engine stalls. Typical service life: 350–500 hours on tractors, 400 hours on combines, scaled to your in-game calendar. For example, with one day per month, a machine working daily needs a filter every 4–5 in-game days. Sediment bowls on every machine prevent water from reaching the injection pump; water causes misfires and stalls. Change filters step-by-step with the band wrench. Old, dirty filters can be sold as scrap. Air in lines: use a hand primer on mechanical engines or turn ignition on for electric lift pumps in common rail systems. If the engine won’t start, check for air, clogged or missing filters, or degraded fuel. Refuel at stations or terminals with the nozzle. Loading island features earth clamp, hose, valves, START button, automatic cut-off, and receipt with metered litres. Emergency stop included. Features and compatibility Compatible with base-game and modded tractors and combines without XML editing. Use K for next step, hold for service menu. Supports multiplayer and dedicated servers; any farm can use the terminal. Compatible with Real Fuel Consumption, Realistic Diesel Start, Advanced Damage System, Interactive Control. With Agricultural Financial System, diesel costs are deducted from your current account. Available in English, Spanish, German, and French. Note: The nozzle attaches to the vehicle’s designated filler point. If it looks odd, it’s due to the vehicle model, not the mod. Created by GN Realism for a realistic agricultural simulation.
