Description:

Version: 1.0.0.0 Game: Farming Simulator 25 Tested With: FS25 v1.24.0.0+ What this fix does After the FS25 1.24 update, some heavily modded saves started failing to load with a message indicating that the fill type limit had been reached, even when a FillType Extender was installed. In tested saves, the actual issue was not the normal FillType limit but the map reaching its DensityMap HeightType limit, which prevented Straw Harvest from registering the ground materials it needs. This fix prioritizes: HAY_PELLETS STRAW_PELLETS allowing Straw Harvest to register its required pellet materials and enabling the savegame to load instead of crashing during startup. Important: This is a workaround. It does not increase the map’s DensityMap HeightType capacity, nor does it modify the map or savegame, or convert a 63-HeightType map into a 127-HeightType map. It simply changes which materials receive priority when the available ground HeightType slots are full. What happens to other fill types? Since Straw Harvest is given priority, some other custom materials may lose their DensityMap HeightType slot. This does not usually remove the fill type from the game; materials can still work in systems supporting that fill type, such as trailers, silos, productions, storage facilities, sell points, fill triggers, and supported machinery. The main loss is the ability for these materials to exist as loose piles on the ground. For example, a material can still be loaded into a trailer, transported, stored, and used in production, but you may not be able to dump it directly onto the terrain as a loose pile and scoop it back up later. Any mod or gameplay feature relying on ground piles of that material may be affected. Materials potentially losing ground HeightType support during testing include: MAIZESTALKS_PELLETS SILO_GRASS SILO_CLOVER SILO_ALFALFA GRASS_FERMENTED ALFALFA_FERMENTED CLOVER_FERMENTED LIMESTONE COAL SOIL DIRT GRAVEL_FINE GRAVEL_COARSE GRAVEL_MIXED GRAVEL_TUMBLED SAND TOPSOIL POTSOIL CHARCOAL IRONORE SEPARATED_MANURE The affected materials depend on the map and loaded mods. Recommendation If you do not use the Straw Harvest Pack, it’s better to keep Straw Harvest disabled rather than using this workaround. This avoids reserving HeightType slots for HAY_PELLETS and STRAW_PELLETS, leaving those slots free for other custom materials. If you need Straw Harvest, this fix allows the save to load, but some lower-priority custom materials may no longer form loose piles on the terrain. Installation Place the ZZZ_FS25_StrawHarvestHeightPriority.zip file directly into your Farming Simulator 25 mods folder. Do not rename the file. The ZZZ_ prefix ensures it loads at the correct point in the mod order. When to use this fix Use this if: - your save fails to load after FS25 1.24 update - Straw Harvest reports fill type limit reached - you already have a FillType Extender installed - the save crashes during load because Straw Harvest cannot register pellet materials - you want to keep Straw Harvest enabled - you understand some custom materials may lose ground pile support When not to use it Avoid this workaround unless necessary. If you do not use Straw Harvest, disabling it is cleaner as it preserves DensityMap HeightType slots for other materials. Tested successfully This fix was tested on Farming Simulator 25 v1.24.0.0 with Straw Harvest enabled on a heavily modded save that previously failed to load. With this fix: - the save loaded successfully - Straw Harvest no longer caused the save to close during loading - HAY_PELLETS and STRAW_PELLETS registered correctly - other custom fill types remained available, though some lost ground pile support due to the map’s existing HeightType limit. Final note: This is a temporary compatibility fix until a better solution is provided by GIANTS, Straw Harvest, the map author, or another method that safely increases the DensityMap HeightType capacity without modifying the map.
