Realistic Mechanical Systems — First Public Release Realistic Mechanical Systems (RMS) is a comprehensive system for mechanical condition, maintenance, and reliability in Farming Simulator 25. Designed to give vehicle ownership long-term significance, RMS models multiple mechanical systems independently, with their condition influencing maintenance, diagnostics, reliability, and operating costs. This initial public version introduces the core foundation of RMS, including: - Individual mechanical systems and component wear - Vehicle condition and maintenance tracking - Mechanical diagnostics and repair estimates - Scheduled and corrective maintenance procedures - Engine, drivetrain, electrical, hydraulic, and thermal systems - Persistent fluid levels and servicing - Breakdowns and component failures - Pre-shift inspections - Full technical records and maintenance history - Vehicle fleet overview - Multiplayer and dedicated-server support RMS is built around long-term gameplay, with vehicle age, operating hours, maintenance history, and mechanical condition gradually creating a unique history for each machine in your fleet. The interface has been completely redesigned to support this workflow: inspect the vehicle, identify issues, plan repairs, perform maintenance, and keep a detailed technical record. Development status: Version 0.10.0.0 marks the first public milestone of RMS. The project is actively being developed, and some planned systems are not yet implemented. The 1.0-beta1 milestone will be reached once all core mechanical features are operational. Releasing RMS now allows for testing across a wider range of machines, maps, multiplayer servers, and mods during ongoing development. Feedback and bug reports are highly appreciated. RMS will continue to evolve, but the goal remains the same: providing mechanical depth without arbitrary penalties—systems should respond realistically to the machine’s actual use. Thank you to everyone testing RMS and helping to improve it.
