Description:

V1.4.0.0 Bug fixed with Rainstar, the pump logic was malfunctioning and the drum couldn't be rotated correctly with the left mouse button. Fixed flickering layers in the map menu. Realistic Water & Soil Management enhances Farming Simulator 25 by maintaining a persistent water, soil, and plant balance. Rain, irrigation, evaporation, soil type, terrain, compaction, tire pressure, tillage, and plant growth are interconnected. Fields now respond with a complex water balance involving topsoil, root zone, and subsoil layers, rather than simple conditions like "dry" or "wet". Natural depressions stay moist longer, heavy vehicles cause more compaction in wet soil, and insufficient tire pressure increases load on the topsoil. These factors influence soil structure, root health, plant development, and yield over time. Features: - Multi-layered water balance - Soil water balance calculated separately for: - Topsoil (0-10 cm) - Root zone (10-30 cm) - Subsoil (30-60 cm) Precipitation, irrigation, evaporation, seepage, drainage, surface runoff, plant water uptake, soil type, structure, compaction, and terrain are all considered. The usable field capacity is shown separately from pore saturation; excess water can drain, run off, or cause waterlogging. Different soil types include: - Loamy sand - Sandy loam - Clay - Silty clay Each with specific values for field capacity, wilting point, water retention, infiltration, drainage, bearing capacity, compaction risk, and sinking depth. Sandy soils dry faster; loamy and clay-rich soils retain more water but stay softer longer and are more prone to compaction. Dynamic weather and climate influence: - Precipitation - Temperature - Evaporation - Wind - Humidity - Sunlight exposure - Seasonal distribution Weather data directly affects soil moisture, drying, and evaporation. Realistic drying process: Drying depends on temperature, wind, sun, humidity, soil type, and compaction, not just a timer. A wetness memory prevents fields from drying out completely immediately after rain. Natural depressions and waterlogging: - Detects low areas within fields - These areas collect water, dry slowly, have lower load capacity, promote sinking and track formation, increase compaction risk, and can cause oxygen deficiency to roots. Terrain evaluation is cached for performance. Soil compaction: - Saved separately for: - Topsoil - Root zone - Subsoil Influenced by: - Vehicle weight - Payload - Wheel load - Axle load - Tire width - Tire pressure - Recommended field pressure - Soil moisture - Soil type - Slip - Speed - Cornering - Multiple crossings High tire pressure stresses the topsoil more; lower pressure increases contact area and protects the ground. Axle loads can still cause deeper soil compaction. Multiple crossings are accounted for, with the first causing the most damage. Saved data includes: - Crossings - Compaction - Track depth - Shear damage - Plant damage - Edit history Roots and plant stress: - Simulates: - Root health - Fine root health - Achievable root depth - Drought stress - Waterlogging - Oxygen deficiency - Compaction stress - Nutrient stress - pH stress - Mechanical damage Damaged roots impair water and nutrient uptake. Impact on yield: - Influenced by: - Water balance - Dryness - Waterlogging - Root health - Compaction - Soil structure - Nutrients - pH value - Seedbed - Weeds - Lane conditions - Mechanical damage Damage accumulates over time based on severity and duration. Crop vitality visuals (Alpha): - Displays local differences in plant health, such as: - Different plant heights - Variable stock density - Incomplete stocks - Visible stress zones - Weaker development - Storage locations Plants remain harvest-ready; growth and harvest maturity are unaffected. Weed competition: - Weeds compete with crops for water, nutrients, light, and space. Excessive weeds can reduce growth and yield. Tillage: - Effects vary by device: - Plow - Cultivator - Disc harrow - Rotary harrow - Subsoiler - Seeder - Roller Deep loosening is effective only with suitable soil moisture; cultivating wet soil can cause structural damage. Seedbed and rollers: - RWSM evaluates seedbed strength. Too loose leads to poor sealing; over-reconsolidation hampers airflow and roots. Rolling provides reconsolidation based on soil type, moisture, and compaction. Irrigation system: - Includes a functional Rainstar system with: - Motor pump - Hose reel - Sprinkler - Adjustable pump pressure and radius - Real application rate - Water consumption - Soil input in mm - Automatic hose retraction - Work and transport modes - Parking brake - Clutch assistance - Connection markers - Sound and visible water jet Applied water alters the soil’s water balance. Extended field info: - Shows: - Topsoil moisture - Pore saturation - Surface condition - Excess water - Water in all soil layers - Soil type - Evaporation - Temperature and wind - Compaction - Soil structure - Seedbed strength - Root condition - Plant vitality - Height and density - Main stress causes - Climate data Water-Soil API: - Provides a versioned interface for other mods, including: - Soil type - Soil moisture - Pore saturation - Water availability - Surface moisture - Carrying capacity - Trafficability - Sink factor and depth - Soil compaction - Track depth - Root condition - Evaporation - Recommended tire pressure - Plant vitality Other mods can report traffic loads and ground effects. Connection with Visual Mud Tracks: - Transmits data such as: - Wheel load - Axle load - Tire pressure and width - Slip - Vehicle weight - Payload - Soil moisture - Carrying capacity - Sink factor and track depth This links visible tracks, sinking, mud, and tire behavior to ground conditions. Saving and multiplayer: - Data such as water balance, precipitation history, compaction, track depth, soil structure, root condition, edit history, plant vitality, irrigation data, pump pressure, radius, hose retraction are stored and synchronized. - Calculations are server-authoritative, designed for multiplayer saves. Highlights: 1. Multi-layered water balance with separate reactions for topsoil, root zone, and subsoil. 2. Long-term compaction impacts yield; influenced by tire pressure, wheel load, axle load, soil moisture, slip, and passes. 3. Direct connection to Visual Mud Tracks for realistic ground effects. 4. Natural depressions cause localized waterlogging. 5. Visible plant vitality variations. 6. Realistic tire pressure effects. 7. Root health and long-term plant stress factors. 8. Functional irrigation with adjustable parameters. 9. Various tillage systems with specific effects. 10. Extensive field info on water, soil, roots, and plants. 11. Persistent multiplayer system retains ground and water damage. 12. Open Water-Soil API for mod integration. 13. No changes to growth stages; stress is visualized without affecting crop maturity. The pump reads only the vanilla hose status: - Hose not connected ? pump does not start - Hose disconnected during operation ? pump stops immediately. Weather Hud 3 size options now available: normal, small, very small, and vanilla. Performance fixes. Required mods: Precision Farming, Visual Mud Tracks.
