Maasland 4x is a Dutch fantasy-based map that prioritizes simplicity and smooth performance, making it ideal for multiplayer gaming. My inspiration for creating this map stemmed from my experiences with other maps, which often have both strengths and weaknesses. For example, while I appreciate the Papenburg map, the editor has ceased updates. I enjoy the US flatlands, but it is plagued with bugs. The Juocta map has appealing features but includes too many custom items, which I find off-putting. More realistic maps, on the other hand, don't quite meet my expectations either. I often tell those who criticize others' mods or maps to create their own if they believe they can do better, and that's exactly what I did. Initially, this map was just for my friends and me to enjoy together. However, after QesslyGaming, a streamer, requested to showcase the map during a live stream, I reconsidered its potential. At this time, I do not plan to update the map unless significant issues arise. Here’s what I added and modified: - Imported road system and trees (Juocta) - Imported windmill mod (The Lort) - Imported modern houses mod (Redphoenix) - Imported farm pack vol 3 ([DMI]20mmNormandy) - Imported driveway pack (Snakebizzle) - Imported map background (Jimkerk) - Imported sidewalks (Jimkerk) Thank you to the modders mentioned above. What the map offers: - 138 farmlands - 132 fields (ranging from 4.8ha to 89ha) - 5 empty farm spots (because many of us dislike pre-placed farms) - Logging area - A small town in the center - Several selling and buying points - Added dark tarmac texture from the AS map - Added sidewalk texture from the EU map - Animal trader (functioning as intended) - 3 new crops: millet, rye, and hops - Train system - Soccer field for when multiplayer farming gets dull.
