Description:

Real Fuel Consumption makes your farm's fuel usage more realistic and challenging. Unlike other mods that simply multiply consumption by a fixed factor, this mod uses a dynamic system that reads each vehicle's actual state in real-time. How it works: - Base Multiplier configurable from 1.0x to 3.0x (default 1.5x) - Load Bonus — engine consumes more when under real stress: climbing hills, pulling heavy implements, towing loads - Work Type Bonus — different tasks consume varying amounts, just like in real life: - Plowing / Cultivating: +40% - Harvesting: +35% - Baling: +25% - Mowing / Tedding: +20% - Spraying / Fertilizing: +15% - Sowing: +10% - RPM Sensitivity — higher engine RPM results in increased consumption Features: - All options configurable from the Game Settings menu (ESC), no commands or special keys needed - Compatible with all vehicles and mods - Multiplayer and Dedicated Server support - Saves your settings per savegame Tip: For balanced realism, use 1.5x. For a hardcore challenge, increase to 2.5x or 3.0x with Load Sensitivity set to High. Made with passion for realistic farming simulation. V1.5.0.0 - ENGINE MODE KEY (front loader arm no longer moves) - The mode was changed to J, but J is also used for raising/lowering the front loader arm and other implements. To avoid conflicts, the engine mode is now assigned to Alt+J. The mod will automatically update your setting if you used J and notify you on screen. Existing custom keys are preserved. - The key can be changed anytime under Options > Controls. More Realistic Fuel Consumption: - Tractors, harvesters, and self-propelled machines now consume fuel based on engine power: loaded vehicles, uphill driving, and working conditions increase consumption; unloaded vehicles consume much less. - A large tractor at full load now burns around 64 liters/hour, down from 183 liters/hour. - Plowing, cultivating, and discing consume more depending on working width, speed, and depth (compatible with Variable Working Depth). - Mud and cultivated soil increase fuel use compared to stubble or roads. - Additional consumption affects only fuel usage, not machine speed or handling. - Trucks, cars, electric vehicles, and methane-powered vehicles continue using the game's original fuel calculation. Engine Modes: - ECO reduces engine RPM and smooths throttle response, saving fuel when excess power is available; at full load, savings are minimal. - POWER mode offers faster throttle response. - Engine modes no longer reduce power or limit top speed. Settings: - New Consumption setting: Real (default), or x1.25 to x3 for increased difficulty. - New Realistic Traction & Rolling Resistance toggle (enabled/disabled). - Base Multiplier, Load Sensitivity, Work Type Bonus, and RPM Sensitivity have been removed; calculations are now automatic. HUD: - Fuel consumption is shown below the fuel gauge, matching the size of the ADS reading, with the color indicating engine mode: green for ECO, gray for STANDARD, red for POWER. It updates instantly. - Electric vehicles display consumption in kW, methane vehicles in kg/h. - The icon and reading follow the game's HUD scale. Report (Ctrl+J): - Displays liters per hectare in fields, liters per 100 km on roads, and engine running time while stationary. - Each vehicle shows the correct fuel unit and price. Fixes: - Dedicated Server: clients no longer see 0.0 l/h constantly. - If the Advanced Damage System increases fuel consumption, the mod now accounts for both consumption values. - Vehicles excluded from the Advanced Damage System no longer lose their fuel consumption display. - Truck brake air pressure no longer consumes fuel as if it were actual fuel consumption. - Compatible with savegames from 1.4.x: no new game required, and report data is preserved. Previous consumption settings are reset to Real by default. - Supports multiplayer and dedicated servers.
