The BM-27 Uragan (Russian: ??-27 ??????, meaning 'Hurricane', GRAU index 9P140) is a 220 mm self-propelled multiple rocket launcher developed in the Soviet Union to fire cluster munitions. It entered service with the Soviet Army in the late 1970s and was the first heavy multiple rocket launcher with fin stabilization. An upgraded version, called Uragan-1M, was introduced in 2008. The truck chassis has no similarities to other vehicles.
