Allis Chalmers 8095/9000 Prototype Tractor

Description

This prototype tractor built in 1985, approximately one year before the company closed was the first tractor built by Allis Chalmers in the 200+hp range. This tractor shared many similarities with the Allis Chalmers 8000 series such as the cab and overall design of the tractor. Featuring slightly larger tires and a longer frame, hood and larger engine (choice of Komatsu or Cummins) this machine was purpose built with a prototype 18 speed transmission, the first of it's kind. Although this tractor never made it to production (which is why it still sports the 8070 decals) there were five prototypes made which were sold at auction when the company went under. It is unknown what happened to three of the five (presumably used and then scrapped) but the remaining two are Cummins and Komatsu powered and are still farming to date.
